Terms and Conditions

1- All orders placed by the customer are subject to these terms and conditions unless changes are agreed to in writing and signed by both the customer and Lottie's Bakeaway. Once an order form has been signed, your order is considered confirmed and a contract has been formed between parties. 

2- Once design has been discussed and you are happy to go ahead, a deposit will be payable (£20-£30 for celebration cakes depending on size/decoration, 50% for wedding cakes.) We accept cash, card or bank transfer. Final payment will be due on collection if paying by cash or card, or the day before collection if paying by bank transfer. If your cake is being delivered the balance must be paid seven days beforehand. 

3- Orders can be cancelled at any time provided this is done by the customer who made the booking. Cancellations must be made in writing and the cancellation charges are as follows:

*15 or more days before collection/delivery = 20% of total cost.
*2-14 days before collection/delivery = 50% of total cost
*48 hours or less before collection/delivery = 100% of total cost

4- If you wish to change your order, an additional charge may be payable and added to the balance already due to be paid.

5- If you have any allergies/intolerances or other dietary requirements these MUST be discussed prior to confirming the booking.

6- In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about your cake, please inform us immediately so that we have the opportunity to address your complaint. If an issue cannot be resolved immediately, you should contact us in writing within 14 days. Please note that we cannot consider complaints after 14 days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, any legal claim you bring will be limited in value to the total cost of the cake.

7- We will never agree to copy a cake from a photograph exactly, certain toppers and decorations from other countries are not available in the UK. We cannot guarantee colours will be matched exactly due to brightness/contrast differences in different devices/screens, and it is impossible to know how other bakers made the icing colour in their photos. Please specify if you need items personalised with a name and age.

8- If we are prevented from completing or delivering your cake due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, accident, weather etc.) then we will inform you as soon as this becomes apparent and will refund you the amounts already paid and would have no further liability to you. In these cases we will try to contact other local businesses to check availability to complete the order, but a replacement cannot be guaranteed.

9- By giving Lottie's Bakeaway your personal details, you consent to us storing your information for business purposes and to contact you with your potential quote/information about your order.
